Nepali New Year Program 2023
Nepali New Year, also known as Bikram Sambat, is a festival celebrated by the Nepali community worldwide. The festival marks the beginning of the Nepali calendar year and is observed on the first day of the month of Baishakh, which falls in mid-April. During this festival, people gather with their families, exchange greetings and blessings, and perform various cultural activities. The festival is marked by traditional clothing, music, dance, and feasting. In Nepal, the New Year is considered an important occasion and is a public holiday. The festival signifies the beginning of a new year and represents the Nepali culture and tradition, which has been passed down from generation to generation.
